Bargara Sprint Triathlon – Sunday 11 December 2016


Join the Bargara Triathlon Club for the second race of our 2016/2017 season. The Bargara Sprint Triathlon will be held on Sunday the 11th of December 2016 at Kellys Beach and is open to all ages (from 7 years and above) and competition levels. We encourage you to participate in this great local event.

What is a Triathlon?

A triathlon is a multi-sport event involving the completion of three continuous and sequential endurance disciplines, swimming, biking and running over various distances.

Who Can Enter?

We have three levels of entry on offer for this event. Individuals can enter in either the Turtles, Give It A Tri or Sprint category or a team can be formed of two to three people who can participate in the Give It A Tri or Sprint category, where each member completes one leg of the triathlon in a relay format.

Three events on offer:

Where is the Bargara Sprint Triathlon held?

At Kellys Beach, Registration is from 6:00am. The Event Briefing is at 6:40am.
Turtles Event Start: 6:45am, Distances: 100m swim / 2km ride / 1km run
GIAT Event Start: 7:30am, Distances: 375m swim / 10km ride / 2.5km run
Sprint Event Start: 7:25am, Distances: 750m swim / 20km ride / 5km run
