Bargara Sprint Triathlon Event

Join Bargara Triathlon Club for our the next race of the 2015/2016 season. The Bargara Sprint Triathlon on Sunday 17 April 2016 at Kellys Beach will be open to all ages (from 7 years and above) and competition levels. We encourage you to participate in this event.

What is a Sprint Triathlon?

A Triathlon is a multi-sport event – it has a swim leg followed by a cycle leg and has a run leg at the end.

Who Can Enter?

We have 3 levels of entry for this years event. You can either enter as an individual in the Turtles or Give It A Try or Sprint events or two or three people can form a team and participate in the Give It A Try or Sprint events, where each member completes one leg of the triathlon in a relay format. The age restrictions for the different formats are as follows:

 Turtles  7 – 12 year old 100m swim / 2km ride / 1km run
 Give It a Try 13 year olds + 375m swim / 10km ride/ 2.5km run
 Sprint 14 year olds + 750m swim/20km ride/5km run

Where is the Bargara Sprint Triathlon held?

At Kellys Beach, Registration is from 5:15am. The Event Briefing is at 5:45am.
Turtles Event Start: 6:00am, Distances: 100m swim / 2km ride / 1km run
GIAT Event Start: 6:45am, Distances: 375m swim / 10km ride/ 2.5km run
Sprint Event Start: 6:45am, Distances: 750m swim/20km ride/5km run

Once you cross the finish line join us for a light refreshing breakfast.

As a not-for-profit organisation, Bargara Triathlon Club events are priced to cover the costs of holding the event. Check under the Events drop down menu for Event Pricing. The price to enter a Club triathlon will be listed there.
