Bargara Duathlon – Sunday 31 July 2016

Join Bargara Triathlon Club for our first race of the 2016/17 season. The Bargara Duathlon held on Sunday 31 July 2016 at Kellys Beach will be open to all ages (from 7 years and above) and all competition levels. The weather has cooled down so we are sticking to the land this time!

What is a Duathlon?

A Duathlon is a multisport event which involves a run, followed by a cycle, and ends with another run. This race will also include an “Enduro Duathlon”, which involves another cycle and run, so there are five legs in the whole race.

Who Can Enter?

We have 3 levels of entry for this years event. You can either enter as an individual in the Turtles or Give It A Try or Sprint events or two or three people can form a team and participate in the Give It A Try or Sprint events, where each member completes one leg of the duathlon in a relay format. The age restrictions for the different formats are as follows:

Three events on offer:

Event Age Distance
 Turtles  7 – 12 year old 500m run / 2km ride / 500m run
 Give It a Try 13 year olds + 2km run / 10km ride/ 2km run
