This years Aquathlon is open to all ages and competition levels.  

What is an aquathlon?

An aquathlon is a multi-sport event – it has a run then a swim followed by a final run leg.  Three race distances are offered to suit all all ability levels.  See Event Calendar for further details.

Who Can Enter?

We have 3 levels of entry for this years event:

  • Turtles:                      7-12 year olds
  • Give It a Try:              13 year olds +
  • Sprint:                        14 year olds +

Where is the Bargara Aquathlon held?

Nielson Park Beach, Bargara.

When does it start?

Registration opens at 6:00am and closes at 6:30am.  Race number bibs will be issued at registration.  So that accurate finish times can be recorded, participants need to wear the bib on the final run leg.  (If you need a number belt, they can be purchased at:

Race series

Finishers will accrue points as follows for each race that they compete in, starting with 10 points for a win, 9 points for second, 8 points for third, 7 points for forth, etc down to 1 point for tenth and all other finishers will also get 1 point.  For each individual and team, the best results for four races will be accumulated to determine category winners at the end of the season.  Participants that complete all five races during the 2014/2015 season will receive a free Club running singlet.

Events will go ahead rain, hail or shine!  Participants will be informed at the pre-race briefing of any event changes.
